Nyasha was born in a rural village in Zimbabwe and come over to the UK in the 1970’s. She is a qualified psychotherapist, impact investor, author, speaker, social worker, coach and mentor. As a black African woman, Nyasha faced discrimination throughout her journey but with sheer determination and passion she developed successful social enterprises.
Nyasha’s vision for the future is to eradicate inequalities through social enterprise and to mentor social entrepreneurs through their journeys. Currently she is setting a social impact investment fund of $100 million, which will help people, especially women, to reach economic independence through enterprise as well as create jobs for the youth in Africa.
Nyasha wrote a book in 2015 after walking the length of the River Thames (206 miles) “Walk with Me through 16 Inspirational Business and Life Tips”. This was then followed with an annual charity walks round the globe including Zimbabwe, raising funds and awareness for her charity Vana Trust. Nyasha is also in the process of writing more books “I’m not just a foster carer”, manual for how to start and grow a social enterprise as well as Children’s Voices
Nyasha has a husband Paul, three adult children and one grandson. Nyasha has also volunteered for a number of organisations and won a variety of business and community awards. She enjoys walking,knitting and reading and her passion in life is helping children to reach their best potential.
